Galboka’s mindfully decorated apartments, healing herbs and abundant vegetable gardens support you at every step. The airy outdoor kitchen and dining area welcomes you for daily brunch and dinner. Mornings are dedicated to yoga. Therapeutic and vinyasa practices will support your body’s functionality and wake up your senses. Expect to feel energetically high and physically strong for the day ahead of you.
After the morning practice our chef Simon will await you with the most delicious brunch: organic, local and made with love.
Free time for you to relax by the pool, rent a paddle board/canoe or take a nap. There will be optional yoga classes, self development workshops and sound therapies.
Our community will gather at the large garden table, enjoying the delicious food and chatting about the highlights of the day. Raw and vegan deserts, home made dressings and freshly picked vegetables.
You can join a soothing Chidra™ and other practices prepare you for quality sleep or choose to take a stroll to the nearby village. We might even end up on the beach with a guitar and a bonfire, watching the moon’s reflection in the ocean.
THERAPEUTIC, VINYASA & NIDRA YOGA
Tinkara’s therapeutic, gentle, yet fun yoga practice will stop and slow you down for a good reason. To be kind to your nervous system. To notice things about yourself you have long forgotten or perhaps never experienced before. Learning yoga medicine for many years gave her a wealth of knowledge and experience on functionality and how to support the body in all stages and changes in life. She encourages you to focus on “how you feel” instead of how you “think you should look” in a pose. Her classes usually start with meditation, are thoughtfully themed and relate to all other practices and workshops we are running throughout the week.
Anja enriches Vinyasa and Nidra yoga with her palpable voice and unique sense of humour that additionally relaxes you as a whole. Most importantly, she intertwines all the poses parallel to your life situations through mindfulness and life-coaching. Her yoga is about balance, flexibility, and muscle strength. It is about finding your center, whilst you observe your bodily sensations, thoughts and emotions.
Tanja takes people on creative and sound journeys through playful and insightful workshops. Creating your new vibration by playing with images, words and objects, using your voice and moving your body. It is scientifically proven, that creative process has strong healing applications especially with stress, anxiety and depression. Creative therapy can access what is hidden in subconscious mind, that runs 95% of our behaviour patterns, beliefs and habits. Whilst sound therapy gently opens the door even wider, it also calms the mind, the nervous system, and regenerates the body on a cellular level. People say that she helps them rediscover their child-like curiosity again and express themselves in ways they never thought they could, whilst they find meaningful answers to a lingering life questions. Oh, and she will show you how to use mmm…to calm and heal yourself.
TANJA is an internationally trained Creative Arts psychotherapist and sound healer, specialising in transcending stress, anxiety, and fear. At the retreat, she will be facilitating creative workshops that are playful and deeply insightful. And sound journeys that are relaxing and restorative. People say that she takes them to places where they can explore with child-like curiosity again.
TINKARA is a founder of Tinks yoga studio in Slovenia that is well known for its supportive community, quality teachers, and more therapeutic approach to yoga. At the retreat, she will be facilitating slower, more gentle practice, chi gong, and other workshops that are kind to your nervous system. People are often surprised during her classes, as they explore places within themselves, they never felt before.
SIMON is a co-founder of Tinks yoga studio and a passionate food expert who crafted his mastery in France whilst successfully catering to different embassies around Europe. On the retreats, he is taking care of exquisite cuisine – a fusion of Indonesian, Mediterranean and local dishes which you will never forget. Many people say that they keep coming back to our retreat because of his mmm…delicious food, which is always evolving.
ONE BEDROOM RESIDENCE (single or double occupancy) highlights the importance of balance, spirit and harmony. This serene and spacious dwelling (50 m2 + 24 m2 terrace) is located on the 1st floor. The private terrace is overlooking the sea.
TWO BEDROOM RESIDENCE (double occupancy): The interior of this generously-sized residence (60 m2 + 2 x 24 m2 terrace) is mindfully decorated with organic textures and natural materials. It is located on the ground floor, so you will be blessed with the alluring scents of your private mediterranean garden. You will be waking up at one of two king size bedrooms in a romantic canopy bed.
DUPLEX RESIDENCE (double occupancy): This spacious (80 m2 + 24 m2 terrace) dwelling is a unique blend of traditional Mediterranean style and design details from other parts of the world. It is located on the 2nd floor so the view from the terrace is … mmm breathtaking. You will be waking up at one of two king size bedrooms in a romantic canopy bed.
Every room has a fully equiped kitchen with a large fridge, AC, TV, WIFI toilet, bathroom with a shower, drinkable water terrace or balcony.

Absolutely. At every retreat we have first-time yogis, as well as experienced ones. They all feel comfortable, yet challenged enough during classes, to push some personal boundaries and grow in their practice. There will be many levels of yoga classes throughout the retreat – from more slow, gentle, and therapeutic yoga in the mornings, which many people, regardless of their level, absolutely love. For more intense practice there is advanced vinyasa in the afternoons, where even beginners can enjoy. The size of the group is small, so we can offer you more personalized attention. In the evenings you will enjoy restorative yoga and yoga Nidra, to prepare you for a good night sleep.
We will provide yoga mats for all, however, we find many guests prefer to bring their own mat, or a travel mat to put over the mats provided. We are working in retreat places rather than yoga studios, so usually they do not come with equipment. For this reason, we recommend you to bring any other props you like to use during your practice.
You can join as many classes as you want or decide to rest for the whole day, if this is what you need. The choice is yours, to do as much or as little as you want during the retreat. The aim is that you feel mmm…so good, regardless what you decide to do, eat, sleep, stretch meditate, do art, journal, or just sit by the pool whilst meeting new friends.
Galboka Residence offers a unique stay with state-of-the-art apartments, that have king size canopy beds and are shared with one more person. It is very European, to share a room this way, however, if you would like a separate bed, single beds are available upon request, which are placed in the living room. Also, keep in mind that there will be other guests staying at the Galboka Residence, whilst our retreat. Another chance for you to meet more interesting people. Due to high demand and many return guests, there is no availability at the Galboka Residence, prior or after the retreat dates. However, you can book a room/apartment at other places in Lošinj, or islands nearby. If you wish to do so, we recommend you to book your additional stay asap, as great places get booked up very quickly…yes, even in October. Booking four flights and other transport tickets is your domain. We recommend to book airline tickets very soon after booking your retreat. It is imperative that you book flexible or refundable flights in case any changes to your travel occur. Make sure you book your flights with an airline that has the option for free date changes or that issues credit vouchers for future flights. We are not responsible for the money you paid for flights and other tickets in case of unexpected changes to your trip. For this reason, make sure you add travel insurance that covers any changes or cancellations.
You will need to book your own travel insurance. We recommend you to cover all the activities you plan on doing, including a cover for travel delay, cancellation, your personal belongings, and medical expenses. Take your time and see what option would suit you best, according to your needs, considering your current state of physical and mental health. We also suggest, that you check if the travel insurance covers any Covid-19 related emergencies. This kind of insurance policy is now widely available and very reasonably priced.

As we all know, requirements and recommendations regarding Covid are constantly changing. For this reason, knowing the travel and testing rules to enter the country is your responsibility. It’s best to check regularly what rules are to enter and exit Croatia from your country of origin/residence, so there are no unpleasant surprises when you want to return back home, or travel to another country. When you book your retreat, the link to track Covid entry rules to Croatia, will be included in the welcome package.
The currency in Croatia is Kuna, although most places do accept Euros. There are plenty of exchange offices around the island where you can convert your money. There are also plenty of ATM’s to withdraw the money in Croatian Kuna, just mind that there is a substantial fee for withdrawals. In Lošinj, many restaurants and bars only take cash payments, no credit cards. We suggest that you do exchange money into Kuna or Euro and not rely on credit card payments as you are probably used to.
Many agree that October is one of the most beautiful months to explore the island of Lošinj. The weather is “just right” – not too hot, yet warm enough to have a swim and a relaxing walk along the beach amongst the pine trees, or a peaceful stroll through the picturesque fishing villages. Average daytime temperatures are around 20°C (67°F), whilst night time around 12°C (53°F). October can also be a bit rainier, so do take some clothes and shoes for the rainy days…just in case.
